What is AREDN?

Amateur Radio Emergency Data Network — high-speed data mesh over amateur frequencies using modified commodity gear. Voice, video, and IP traffic across town with no internet required.

Want to peer?

The easiest path: use the peering request form on the contact page — select “peering request” and include your callsign, location, and what you can see from your QTH. Requests land in the same postmyform pipeline as regular contact messages.

Requirements to get on the mesh: an amateur radio license, AREDN-flashed compatible hardware (see the AREDN device list), and line-of-sight (or a near hop) to an existing node.
